Opening concert of the 38th International Musik Festival

For the opening concert of the 38th International Musik Festival, the Vienna Philharmonic under Daniel Barenboim will bathe the Wiener Konzerthaus in a light of fascinating orchestral colour. Boulez‘«Notations» with their richness in shade and light were clearly inspired by the iridescence of the colours of the French Impressionists. Alongside Boulez’s work, Barenboim will conduct a selection of symphonic poems by Smetana — including the musical portrayal of the course of the Moldova.
