»A MoodSwing Reunion«

A jazz supergroup reunites for a concert after almost 30 years. For »A MoodSwing Reunion« Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Christian McBride and Brian Blade revive their classic album »MoodSwing« from 1994. »MoodSwing« set standards in the 1990s for jazz recordings with a sophisticated, bluesy and contemporary sound.

At that time, it came from the first permanent touring band of New York-based tenor saxophonist and composer Joshua Redman, who is considered one of the most important instigators in modern jazz. He assembled highly creative talents in his quartet, each of whom quickly went on to brilliant careers themselves: pianist Brad Mehldau, double bassist Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blade. »There's an incredibly deep swing that emerges with Christian and Brian that is both bouncy and powerful at the same time. When I play with them, an anything-is-possible feeling comes over me,« Brad Mehldau enthuses.
