Presented by Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft

The present and future of brass

The Brass Supergroup unites selected musicians from Blechhauf'n, the Egerländer Musikanten, the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra, LaBrassBanda, Mnozil Brass, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Vereinigte Bühnen to form a large body of sound rich in possibilities. At the concert with the experts of the Supergroup, young musicians will play, whom Thomas Gansch has instructed in theory and practice as part of a brass class, themselves rooted in the chamber music ensemble of the Austrian Brass Youth. In this way, the present and the future of a dynamic brass music rich in perspective meet as a lively contemporary musical culture.
