Since Arcadi Volodos made his New York debut at the age of 24, he has been a pianist in demand around the world. He chooses his programs carefully; one of his main focuses is 19th century solo literature. In his upcoming recital, he continues this journey into late Romanticism and the 20th century - with music that shows the dawn of new tonal languages. Thus the fire of the turn of the century may shine with Alexander Scriabin's Poèmes and Etudes, but also the »music of silence« (»Música Callada«) of Federico Mompou finds its place.
