Helge Schneider as a Torero
Helge Schneider is someone who has made improvisation not only an artistic maxim, but also a way of life. As a virtuoso jazz musician and gifted entertainer, he shines in his stage shows with perfect understatement: superficial nonsense that makes a lot of sense in depth! In his latest show, »Der letzte Torero - The Big L.A. Show«, Helge Schneider presents himself as a torero for the first time, although he would immediately take a powder at the sight of a bull, as he credibly assured us. But he liked the torero's work clothes so much that, after trying them on once in a specialty store, he didn't want to take them off. And that's how the portrait photos came about, one of which became his latest tour poster and also the cover of his latest record, which will be released in time for the start of the tour in February 2023. In the show, Helge Schneider sings, dances, trumpets, plays the piano, saxophone, xylophones his way into the hearts of the many people who should come there eventually. Helge makes people laugh, you have to imitate that first!
