The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra is one of the most legendary ensembles on the scene. Founded almost 40 years ago by double bassist John Clayton, saxophonist Jeff Clayton, who died in late 2020, and drummer Jeff Hamilton, it brings powerful and soulful jazz to the stage. Its most recent album, »The L.A. Treasures Project«, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album category. The orchestra has collaborated with such artists:as Paul McCartney, Charles Aznavour and Diana Krall. In 2023, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra is touring with Akiko Tsuruga. The Japanese organist now lives in New York, where she plays a key role in shaping the jazz scene. Her musical partners include jazz greats such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, Frank Wess, Jimmy Cobb, Grady Tate and Lou Donaldson. Her albums regularly reach the Top Ten of the National Radio Jazz Charts.
