Vienna greets Cuba!

In mid-November, two stars of the Cuban music scene will take the stage at »Jazz unplugged« with Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Aymée Nuviola. The virtuoso jazz pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba was discovered by none other than Dizzy Gillespie and played with Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock as a duo. He has already released more than 30 albums and is one of the leading musicians in Afro-Cuban jazz. The singer, pianist, dancer and actress Aymée Nuviola, also from Havana, is known for her soft singing voice. She has devoted herself to timba, the Cuban counterpart to salsa, which blends son cubano, guaguancó and guaracha, among others, into a danceable urban mix. For their guest performance, the multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winners have the Grammy-nominated album »Viento y tiempo« in their luggage.
