Dynamic Duo
Kids, how time flies: The dynamic duo BartolomeyBittmann has been around for over ten years! From the beginning, the focus of the two has been on original compositions and on experimenting with new playing techniques for cello, violin and mandola. Their musical range now extends from massive rock riffs and virtuosic frenzied unison passages to intimate grooves and sensitive cantilenas. What drives them is the search for the acoustic limits of their instruments without the use of electronic effects. In order to counteract the fast pace of our times, Matthias Bartolomey and Klemens Bittmann planned their duo as a long-term project from the very beginning. As a result, they continuously perfect their interplay and further concretize their musical statement in a multitude of joint concert tours and intensive composition phases. In their new program »z e h n«, the two musicians celebrate their tenth anniversary as an ensemble and present current pieces, many of which were written during the Pandemic Lockdown.
