Homesickness and Homeland

Today's most performed concerto by a Bohemian in New York and the still rarely performed 1st Symphony by a St. Petersburg composer in Moscow are on the program of the Estonian Festival Orchestra - a creation of Paavo Järvi, who unites the best musicians of his homeland and leading instrumentalists from all over the world into a powerful body of sound. Antonín Dvořák's famous and beloved Cello Concerto with Argentine virtuoso Sol Gabetta and Tchaikovsky's feverish »Winter Dreams« will fully display their melodic bliss and rhythmic verve under Järvi's direction.
