Standards and rarities

Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Narek Hakhnazaryan and Georgy Tchaidze form a piano trio that presents not only standard works from the relevant repertoire, but also rarities. The standard works this time are the last piano trios by Johannes Brahms and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - works which, although dating from the maturity of both composers, still retain the impetuous passion of their youthful works. In terms of rarities, we eagerly await the premiere of a new piano trio by Finnish Rihm pupil Sauli Zinofjev and also the only movement that Edvard Grieg composed for piano trio - presumably as the slow movement of a planned but unfinished piano trio.
