Ludovico Einaudi
Ludovico Einaudi and the cinema are closely interrelated. In 2011 he wrote the music for the film »The Intouchables«, in 2020 for »Nomadland« and »The Father«. Einaudi is also socially committed and has given concerts against climate change in Antarctica, for example. The music of the Piedmontese pianist and composer forms an island of calm and touches with its sensitive, minimalist sounds. When it first played on Radio BBC, the listener phone collapsed. "Through music we get straight to the feelings - even those that lie dormant deep in our subconscious. Joy, sadness, happiness - all these emotions come to the surface so often. It was the same for me. Through listening to music, I learned a lot about my own emotions. And then I began to implement these experiences in my own music," Ludovico Einaudi explains the emotional effect of his compositions.
