Technical brilliance

Alexei Volodin is known for his highly sensitive touch and technical brilliance. Born in 1977, the pianist studied at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow with Tatyana Selikman, among others, and later with Elisso Wirsaladze. Awards at international competitions, including the Concours Géza Anda, paved his way onto the concert stages of renowned organizers. Since then, he has become a permanent fixture in concert life and has performed with orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the NHK Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. In his upcoming recital in the Mozart Hall, he will provide an insight into the breadth of his repertoire: he will not only perform Mussorgsky's »Pictures at an Exhibition«, but also compositions by Schubert, Beethoven and the lesser-known Nikolai Medtner.
