The song prince

Piotr Beczała is a celebrated star of the open stage. His past and upcoming agenda reads like a Who's Who of the classical world: appearances have taken him and continue to take him to La Scala in Milan, the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Vienna State Opera and the Met, where he made his debut in 2006 as the Duca in Verdi's »Rigoletto« and returned for the portrayal of Lensky in Tchaikovsky's »Eugene Onegin«, among other roles. He also celebrated successes at the Bayreuth and Salzburg Festivals, where he demonstrated his Wagnerian abilities as Lohengrin, for example. The tenor showed a completely different side of himself when he appeared at the Vienna Konzerthaus, where he explored the many nuances of romantic composing in the music of Tchaikovsky, Schumann or Grieg in a recital of lieder with Helmut Deutsch.
