Musical brilliance

Arcadi Volodos' love of the piano was first kindled at the age of 15: he had initially begun vocal training, following in his parents' footsteps. But as his youth progressed, he realized that he was drawn to the black and white keys. Born in what was then Leningrad, the pianist is a world star, but without a tendency to boast. With musical brilliance and technical virtuosity, he fascinates audiences all over the world, having learned by ear and embellished the famous transcriptions for piano by the pianist of the century, Vladimir Horowitz. In June, he makes a stop at the Vienna Konzerthaus with a romantic program featuring Schubert, Schumann and Liszt.
