Magical
A YouTube video by a young pianist has now reached over 16 million views: Yunchan Lim's victory at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022, making him the youngest winner in the competition's history to date. His performance was said to have »magical skills«, and the audience and jury were equally amazed and paid homage to him with never-ending applause. The orchestra was conducted at this performance by Marin Alsop, who also conducted Lim's brilliant debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus on January 23rd with Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto in a concert by the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. With a piano recital in which he interprets Bach's Goldberg Variations, he now offers the opportunity to experience another pianistic masterpiece.
