»Ghosts«
With a project in which Hania Rani presents herself with an ensemble, the Gdansk-born musician will be a guest at the Wiener Konzerthaus in April 2025. »Ghosts« is the title of her latest heartfelt project, about which the artist says: »As I [...] observe how our attention span is reduced to a minimum, I see live performance as a rare opportunity to reconnect with our ability to experience things that are conveyed with a greater gesture and stretched time.« Her intention is to express the multi-layered nature of this album, which in its complexity does not want to be squeezed into the concept of single, minute-long pieces, on her tour - a project that consists of hundreds of sounds and stories and has several musical backgrounds. She explores both acoustic and digital soundscapes and, as she says, brings to life »an essence of what fascinates us, moves us, but also frightens us«.
