Schubert is Franui's delight

Exuberance in love, pipe dreams, sorrow and despair: the traveling journeyman experiences a wide variety of emotional states in Franz Schubert's »Die schöne Müllerin«. The miller's wife does not reciprocate his feelings, he chooses the rushing brook as his interlocutor. The cross-border Tyrolean Musicbanda Franui dedicates itself to the song cycle in a very special way: Florian Boesch, nominated for a Grammy with his recording of »Die Schöne Müllerin«, sings, accompanied by the instruments of the Musicbanda Franui, which range from tuba to dulcimer and accordion to harp. The third member of the group is director and puppeteer Nikolaus Habjan. With the help of his life-size puppets, the 200-year-old and yet always contemporary story of unfulfilled love comes to life anew. A special evening of song, folk music and puppetry!
