After-work at the concert hall

Mozart and Prague - a special connection. While his works were sometimes critically received in Vienna, Mozart celebrated great triumphs in Prague. Symphony No. 38 in D major, K 504 is one of his most important orchestral works: Known as the »Prague Symphony« due to its premiere in Prague, it is characterized by its drama and its proximity to the expressive world of opera. It is characterized by its three-movement structure, which dispenses with the usual minuet. The powerful introduction to the Allegro shows Mozart's mastery in playing with contrasts and dynamics, while the Andante is lyrical and subtle. In the Presto finale, Mozart finally unfolds a liveliness that lends the work a festive character. Mozart's masterpiece is the focus of this Fridays@7 evening. Mozart's concert aria »Bella mia fiamma, addio«, which was composed in Prague, will also be performed - sung by soprano Hera Hyesang Park. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with conversation, drinks and music from kammerfunk.
