Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to reach the top of the Billboard
jazz charts with eight albums. She has won two Grammy Awards and ten
Juno Awards and has been awarded several gold, platinum and
multi-platinum records. Her unique musicality transcends genre
boundaries and makes her one of the most recognized artists of our time.
Born in Nanaimo, Canada, Krall began playing the piano at the age of
four. She later studied at the renowned Berklee College of Music in
Boston and worked with jazz greats such as Ray Brown and Tommy LiPuma.
Her breakthrough came in 1999 with »When I Look in Your Eyes«, which
stayed at number 1 in the Billboard jazz charts for 52 weeks. Krall's
career includes numerous acclaimed albums, including »The Look of Love«,
»Turn Up The Quiet« and her duet album with Tony Bennett, »Love Is Here
to Stay«. Her latest work, »This Dream Of You«, is a tribute to her
long-time producer Tommy LiPuma. In addition to studio recordings, Krall
has also worked on film soundtracks and collaborated with stars such as
Paul McCartney and Barbra Streisand. She thrills audiences around the
world with sold-out concerts and festival appearances.
