»In Baroque music, there is a way of composing that gives you the opportunity to filter the music for yourself and make something of your own out of it. You can shape it yourself and it only comes from you as an artist. I love that!» says Jakub Józef Orliński. Fittingly, he opens the Konzerthaus-Personale dedicated to him with a special program: the Polish countertenor sings new cover versions of popular baroque arias by Henry Purcell, Claudio Monteverdi, Georg Friedrich Händel, Antonio Vivaldi and Nicola Fago: pianist Aleksander Dębicz adds beats, drums and piano sounds to the arias, giving them a modern, groovy look.
