Harmonious sounds in a double concert

Sigrid Horn, winner of the protest song contest and »master of reduction« (Falter), grew up in the Mostviertel region - she grew up in Vienna. She now commutes spatially and artistically between the country and the city and incorporates something of both into her music.

Songs with string quartet

Sigrid Horn sings in a dialect that cannot be clearly categorised and accompanies herself with ukulele and piano. Stefanie Kropfreiter, Marlene Herbst (violas), Ulla Obereigner (violin) and Anna Aigner (cello) form the cosy sound »nest« into which the singer-songwriter retreats and which lends her gloomy, love-filled songs a poignant intensity.

Joy of playing from Ladinia

With their lyrics in Ladin, Ganes became known far beyond the South Tyrolean mountains. The band was founded by Elisabeth and Marlene Schuen, among others. The sisters come from La Val, a mountain village in the Dolomites. Inspired by the picturesque Alpine landscape and the culture of their homeland, the quartet plays a unique blend of Alpine folklore and other soundscapes from pop, jazz and Latin America.
