Émile Zola: »L'Argent« (»Money«)

»Musik und Dichtung« can be experienced for the first time in the evening: Five times, Bibiana Beglau, Dörte Lyssewski, Erwin Steinhauer, Tilman Tuppy and Jörg Ratjen devote themselves to literature that revolves around emotion and consumption.
Addiction to pleasure and the pursuit of power and money are the (sinister) ingredients of Émile Zola's financial novel »L'Argent« (»Money«). Actor Erwin Steinhauer, who has his own portrait series dedicated to him this season, reads from Zola's gripping financial thriller, while Herbert Schuch interprets compositions by Richard Wagner, Erik Satie, Ferruccio Busoni and others.
