Bach as he is written in the book
The Gospel musicalized - that is Bach's legacy, so to speak. Five cantatas, of which only three have survived, and four passions (only two of which have survived) have brought the word of God to life in perfect form and still command the unreserved admiration of the music world today. In the series of Bach cantata cycles, it is now up to Michi Gaigg and her L'Orfeo Barockorchester to open up his sonorous Christian cosmos with four of Bach's most famous cantatas. Margot Oitzinger and Peter Kooij will lend unctuous emphasis to the biblical message.
