Vivaldi à la Janoska

Founded in 2013, the Janoska Ensemble, consisting of the three brothers Ondrej, František and Roman Jánoška and their brother-in-law Julius Darvas, inspires audiences around the world with its virtuosity and unbridled joy of playing. The four musicians have dedicated themselves to the high art of improvisation. Their polyglot musical language enjoys cult status: classical music is blended with jazz, pop and other genres and styles. Now the phenomenal quartet presents its latest coup with a fresh interpretation of Antonio Vivaldi's »The Four Seasons«. Their innovative »Janoska Style« gives the classical work new life: František Janoska has composed new passages to accompany the individual movements. The rousing rhythms and arrangements range from Caribbean to Balkan influences - and offer a contemporary take on Vivaldi's legacy.
