Into new times

With their original and virtuoso folk music, the brothers Johann and Josef Schrammel conquered the whole of Vienna in the late 19th century, from the inns and wine taverns to the imperial court, and had a lasting influence on Austrian musical life. Johann Strauss, Johannes Brahms and even Arnold Schönberg raved about this music. Schrammel music continues to enjoy great popularity. With an authentic Schrammel line-up - two violins, a contra guitar, a button accordion and the "picksüße Hölzl", the G clarinet - and with a good dose of humor, the Symphonic Schrammel Quintet Vienna takes the audience on a musical journey through time with the most beautiful waltzes, lively polkas and lively marches.
