Presented by Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft

The Pavarotti of France

The »Süddeutsche Zeitung« described the internationally acclaimed French opera singer Benjamin Bernheim as having the »most beautiful tenor voice since Luciano Pavarotti«. »Power, intensity, sweetness, sensuality, skillfully distilled expression, intelligence of style, nobility of emotion: [...] simply stunning«, was the verdict of the French daily newspaper Le Monde. In October 2021, Benjamin Bernheim made his debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus with Ernest Chausson's »Poème de l'amour et de la mer« and songs by Clara Schumann, Brahms and Britten. He is now making his second guest appearance here with selected songs and lieder from the Romantic and late Romantic periods, such as those by Clara Schumann, Giacomo Puccini, Hector Berlioz and Henri Duparc.
