Chamber music gems
The concerts of the COLLOREDO ensemble are characterized by a fascinatingly lively experience of Mozart's music. The chamber music formation has passionately set itself the task of dedicating its profound knowledge of works and performances of Viennese classical music and, in particular, compositions by the Salzburg master and his contemporaries. COLLOREDO not only performs chamber music gems such as Mozart's Cassation No. 2 in B flat major K 63a and Lodron's Second Night Music, but also creates an intimate setting for the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in A major K 385p with portrait artist Alexander Melnikov - a work which, incidentally, was written for a Viennese performance and which the composer himself described in a letter to his father in 1782 as »very brilliant« and a delight for the ears of connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
