»And turned me around.« Orpheus loses everything through a movement and is thrown back to what he thought he had already overcome: the loss between the he and the she, their mutual unattainability and the desperate desire that never finds fulfillment. With »Begehren«, Beat Furrer has written one of the most influential pieces of music theater of recent times. Klangforum Wien places it at the center of its “FURRER 70” project in concert form. The performance will take place as part of Wien Modern 2024.
