Ernaux: The square
Normandy, from the turn of the century: Annie Ernaux, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize, fans out a social history of her own family - from her grandparents, who lived as farmers in Normandy, to her father, who ran a grocery store, to her own training as a teacher and author. Burgtheater actress Bibiana Beglau performs a piece of memory work about and between the generations, while Kiron Atom Tellian dedicates himself to one of his favorite composers, Frédéric Chopin. He interprets Chopin's Piano Sonata in B flat minor, which went down in history not least because of its striking funeral march.
