»Red«
»Red«: the color of love, of the rose, of blood, of the cloth in bullfighting. Eva Resch explores the emotional palette of this color in a song recital of her own design. The program includes songs from the classical period to the present day, from Mozart to Wolfgang Riehm. »During the research for this project, it very quickly became clear to me that we can't avoid love. And of course it's nice to deal with romanticized love embedded in a traditional understanding of roles. There is enough repertoire for several hit song recitals. A small part of it can also be found in this program. But love is not always just pink or bright red, like the one for Anna Blume. The boundary between desire and the exercise of power is often blurred and tips over into assault.«
Eva Resch, renowned for the wide expressive range of her high soprano and as an accomplished interpreter of contemporary music, has performed at the National Theatres in Warsaw and Weimar, at the Munich Biennale, the Vienna Festival and the Berlin Festival, among others. Her CDs »Beauteous« and »Eden« were nominated for the German Record Critics' Award.
