After playing the cello as his main instrument for a long time, Andrè Schuen decided to study singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Today, the baritone is a much sought-after guest on internationally renowned opera and concert stages. Born in South Tyrol, he has been working closely with pianist Daniel Heide for many years - the two of them are particularly interested in the works of Franz Schubert. They have already released a Schubert trilogy on Deutsche Grammophon: Their award-winning recordings of »Die schöne Müllerin«, »Winterreise« and »Schwanengesang«. Andrè Schuen and Daniel Heide are now dedicating themselves to the latter song cycle, the »last blossoms [of Schubert's] noble power«, according to Viennese publisher Tobias Haslinger, who published these songs from the composer's estate in 1828, at the Wiener Konzerthaus. You can look forward to subtle and moving interpretations!
