Ernaux: The square
Normandy, from the turn of the century: Annie Ernaux, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize, fans out a social history of her own family - from her grandparents, who lived as farmers in Normandy, to her father, who ran a grocery store, to her own training as a teacher and author. Bibiana Beglau from the Burgtheater performs a piece of memory work about and between the generations, while Kiron Atom Tellian dedicates himself to a selection from Robert Schumann's Symphonic Etudes op. 13.
