Virtuoso and inspired
David Bergmüller is a musical globetrotter. With his virtuoso performances, he is just as at home in the early music scene as he is in contemporary music; electronics are just as organically integrated into his performances as the so-called »original sound«. Born in Hall in Tyrol in 1989, the lutenist studied with greats such as Hopkinson Smith and Rolf Lislevand. Since then, he has performed at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Festival Oude Musik Utrecht and the Schubertiade Hohenems. In the »Atmosphères« series, he demonstrates his boundary-pushing talent and combines the sound of the lute with electronic sounds.
