Resonanzen »Alte Meister«
With his »Marriage at Cana« (now in the Louvre in Paris), Tintoretto's contemporary Paolo Veronese created a monument to the intimate aesthetic relationship between music and painting in Venice during the High Renaissance and early Baroque periods. Art historians were quick to interpret the two gambists in the ensemble playing in the lower center of the painting as self-portraits by Veronese and portraits by Tintoretto. Alluding to this scene, the viola da gamba duo Intesa presents itself in a picturesque ambience on the second KHM date.
