Mahler's Third

Gustav Mahler once said »Symphony just means to me: to build a world with all the means of the available technique.« This statement is particularly true of his Third, for it is indeed a whole world that opens up in this gigantic score. Now Andrés Orozco-Estrada brings this exuberant masterpiece to the stage of the Great Hall with »his« Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the ladies of the Vienna Singing Academy, the Vienna Boys' Choir and the British mezzo-soprano Dame Sarah Connolly.

Benjamin Bernheim

Benjamin Bernheim is a lyric tenor in demand and succeeds at the first houses in Paris, Munich, London, Zurich or Berlin. »Die Presse« ennobled him as a »new tenor star« and praises his »modulatory, richly colored tone« with which Bernheim will bring to life the songs of Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms as well as compositions by Benjamin Britten, Ernest Chausson and others in the intimacy of his recital.
